WANTED- CCS C compiler version 3.235
PostPosted: Thu Apr 24, 2025 1:16 pm     Reply with quote

Does anyone have in a dusty place of your old computers, the CCS C compiler version 3.235?

I need exactly this version to give life to an old firmware.

I have already asked CCS about this version, but they do not have it any more. Crying or Very sad

Any idea is welcome. Very Happy

I asked CCS support if it was okay first. I also offered my inventory of their old compilers.

3.235 dates from Sept 28, 2005. Feels like the blink of an eye to me, but in my everyday (work) life, I consider anything 10+ years old ancient!

Hi,
Sorry to have been slow, I was out yesterday. No, I have 3.226, and then
3.249. I didn't keep the versions between, since I have notes that they
all had major problems. There were only a few weeks between versions
at this time....
Must admit all my old V3 code will compile OK with 3.249, which I consider to
have been the best V3 version.

Well done Newguy. Very Happy

Thank you all, I appreciate a lot your time and your help.

@newguy if you sent me anything, sorry, but it did not arrive. I'd appreciate it if you could try again.

I suspect that your email provider blocked it, even though the attachment was a zip. I tried renaming the exe within to .notexe.

If it gets through this time, rename the attachment in the obvious way.

That is very common when sending things. Some servers have rules that
are designed to stop all sorts of things. I often find it is easier to send
a link and put the file up onto an upload site.
Well done on getting it through. Very Happy

Hopefully you can get the code working OK.
